I have seen children panic during an asthma attack triggered by
a "bad air" day. My son's home schooled group of teens and I have
toured our local coal plant and there is nothing clean about it.
My aunts, 2 uncles, father, dear girlfriend have all died of cancer.
My mother will die of cancer soon.
My doctor's comment during a cancer screening for myself actually
was, " I feel like we are having a cancer epidemic and the old
genetic rules no longer apply. I believe it is our environment to
blame."
Everyday our small solar business receives calls from average
folks who can't afford solar & wind, even with the tax credits.
The public wants to change but money flows to the old technologies
that will never be fixed to support the health of our next
generations. My children and their children have a right to a
clean, safe world. That is what I fight for. I cannot die in peace
unless I do everything I can to avert a climate disaster. God
help these children. They have so many issues to deal with
already, having to beg for clean air and water seems so unfair.
Sincerely,
