I have realized many things about my beloved state of Michigan over the years. The state was much more than the lush forests and beautiful beaches I had experienced in my childhood spent in Traverse City. Although Michigan's residents love their wildlife, they also have spent decades working for the automotive industries that were once the hallmark of the state - and now have become the cause of its demise, both economically as well as environmentally. Michigan's representatives, on the state and national levels, need to compromise on innovative solutions that can restore Michigan's economy and provide much-needed jobs, as well as keep the state and country healthy and clean for all of its residents. That solution must be fueled by responsible sources of alternative energy. Michigan can and must be at the forefront of green energy - support our governor's efforts and Go Green!
