As a wildlife biologist who has studied environmental ecology, I easily see that we will have more crop failures due to global warming. The widening dry area map shows that soon we can expect less available food for the growing billions of people. The CEOs in the fossil fuel businesses say we must not change our energy programs too quickly or jobs will be lost, causing families to go hungry. What they are not saying is that people can transfer from one industry to the next much easier than we can control growing droughts and weather extremes. Furthermore, are not these the same industrialists that told the people in this country who lost their jobs to overseas labor markets, that they can simply find other work in the service industry?! Well, I say its time for the oil and gas men to do the same! In America, the average number of careers for one person in his/her lifetime is seven. Change has always been common, now its absolutely necessary!
