Please do everything in your power to push for strong environmental initiatives and to promote a transformation to truly sustainable technologies and energy conservation.
And "clean coal" is a total misnomer (and smokescreen) for
continuation of a very toxic and unsustainable industry that will
only add greatly to CO2 and climate change woes.
I also strongly oppose using nuclear energy - a completely
counter-productive, toxic, extremely dangerous and wrong-headed approach to climate concerns - with production of by-products that remain highly toxic and dangerous and pose huge safety, transport and storage dilemmas for many millenia and lifetimes to come.
If you truly support global nuclear disarmament then this
technology will only abet further nuclear proliferation and further
ecological, health, terrorist and safety risks. Please be a strong voice for ensuring that United States takes a
lead in guiding our beautiful planet to a greener, more sustainable, more peaceful and saner future.
We ask this for the sake of all children and all species now at
severe risk...and for the sake of your children, and their children, and their children's children...Thank you.
If you succeed in this you will be blessed by all future generations.
