My niece Lily means the world to me. And I want to be able to look back at my life and say I did everything in my power to leave her a healthy planet.

I am deeply outraged that corporations like Exxon are raking in record profits while they destroy our planet for future generations. But they don’t run this country – the people who put our elected officials into office do.

We can save the climate and the economy by investing in a clean energy future and we need heroes in DC who will stand up to the coal, oil and fossil fuel industries.

I do this work for Lily, for the hundreds of friends I have in this fight with me, and on behalf of the millions of people who lives are already being destroyed by climate change.

I keep going because we can solve this crisis and we must - and I'm inspired by the incredible people I'm standing shoulder to shoulder with.
