Give a Pink Slip to the Red-List!

Tell supermarkets that, as a consumer, you're taking a stand against buying their red-list seafood!

Imagine this: every day in our oceans, sea turtles are caught up in fishing nets, bottom trawlers scrape and damage the ocean floors, and fish are being hauled in by the hundreds of thousands of tons. Now imagine that your dollars are contributing to this destruction.

The seafood industry around the globe is causing massive damage to our ocean ecosystems.

Consumers buy half their seafood in supermarkets to the tune of $16 billion per year in seafood sales. Given the serious threats to our marine environment, seafood retailers cannot deny their role in helping our oceans by selling sustainable seafood. (Are you buying threatened species? Check out the Red-List Fish.)

Greenpeace is assessing supermarkets sustainable seafood policies and practices, and your participation in this online action will make sure that the worst-offending retailers hear from you loud and clearly.
