I have been a very informed environmental person since I can remember. Mother Earth has always been a close passion of mine, but my location makes the battles usually up a steep mountain. My parents have formed a political organization that definitely helps fight, but they have too many other issues on their plate and the environment is not their focus. I am currently going to school and major in Env. Science(major Env. Bio and minor in Env Geo) and the groups at my college seem scattered and non committed. If anyone else that lives in my area,wants to organize, and feels the same way PLEASE contact me! Texas is very corrupt in the corporations and they are sliding by in front of everyone's nose. I am honestly surprised of the lack of local organizations in this state. It is a time to take definate action! Any action! Many think that an individual cant fight on their own and have lost hope in doing so. But now is the time that we all should not be afraid to stand for our rights as humans, even if you just eat organic food, you are supporting these farmers.
