A very ignorant soul and I were talking.

A very stupid person and I were debating about the effects of petition and protest. Let's call him H. OK, so I argued that there is absolutly nothing wrong with people with similar opionins gathering to fight against injustice. More people should get involved and stop these terrible things! But anyhow I made my argument. H replyed by saying that protesting is the equivilant to behaving like children. He said it is simply complaining about things that are necessary for human life, and that its completely and utterly annoying. So I take it pollution is necessary to human life hm? How about animal abuse? Completly needed?

*sigh*

The moment those words sliped out of his mouth, I tried to explain unitll my face was blue, about facts, statistics, etc. It didnt matter. I realized that plaugued mentallity literally would be the demise of this entire planet, and he wasn't even willing to listen to the other side of the story, or care at all about the planets health and well-being. :(

It really is sad, but I know someday we will get there.

Just take baby steps towards a brighter, cleaner future. :D

 Any thoughts?

About Me

christellelovesearth

Student at Buchanan High School

My Name is Christelle. I love planet earth! As a student environmental activist, I can't stand the thought of selfishly polluting this innocent beautiful world we have. Really, it doesn't even belong to us. Why must we harm innocent animals and cause distruction in the selfish pursuit of profit? Expand your mind! Don't conform to society and give money to evil corporations that drain the world of love and resources. Respect mother earth! So far I have drafted a petition to get recylcling programs started in new schools in my community. I am working to achieve above and beyond for earth in my lifetime. :)
