Peace: A cause or a fashion trend?

| More
christellelovesearth I see many people that attend my school wear recycling symbols, green tee-shirts, and peace signs. When I inquire about their earth-friendly habbits, they often know absolutly nothing about caring for the earth. I wear my recyle symbols becuase I ACTUALLY DO RECYCLE. I wear these clothes because I believe in the cause and work for it. How should I feel when I see these people? For instance... The other day, I saw a girl with a "Save paper, save a tree, save a life!" shirt on, who was crumpling up UNUSED paper and throwing it at people, and continuing to throw them away. It was so confusing! So my question is, is this a positive or a negative? Are they supporting the message or mocking it? How should I feel? PS! THANKS FOR THE JUSTICE ON EARTH BOOK GREENPEACE!! I love it! My Dad said he loved seeing you guys at the convention. I hope I can attend next time ^-^

About Me

christellelovesearth

Student at Buchanan High School

My Name is Christelle. I love planet earth! As a student environmental activist, I can't stand the thought of selfishly polluting this innocent beautiful world we have. Really, it doesn't even belong to us. Why must we harm innocent animals and cause distruction in the selfish pursuit of profit? Expand your mind! Don't conform to society and give money to evil corporations that drain the world of love and resources. Respect mother earth! So far I have drafted a petition to get recylcling programs started in new schools in my community. I am working to achieve above and beyond for earth in my lifetime. :)
