for 20 years I have used 2 large 'GREENPEACE' cloth shopping bags;

when I go to the supermarket I ask them what is better for the environment, paper or plastic:  answer:  CLOTH

of course, I have to fight with them, they try to put everything into a plastic bag, and many plastic bags, THEN into the cloth bags.  I just do the bagging myself;  they try to stop me from doing that also

 I seldom see anyone else using cloth, or bagging their groceries themselves.

However, I understand the system in at least parts of Scotland is:  bring your own bag and bag it yourself!

Good idea.

How many times have we all be driving in car, or motorcycle and seen those plastic bags floating on air currents, near the windshield, under the car, etc.

saving the environment takes action, not just telling someone else what to do
