Well, this is the start of a beautiful friendship

Between myself and Greenpeace.

But, enough about me, and more about how college students everywhere can help save the planet. Think of this blog as: "Going Green for College." We can make that difference, the one needed

I've always believed that although the world can change one person, one person cannot change the world. It's a serious time out there, kids, with serious measures that need to take place soon or else the world could end up drowning, literally and figuratively, in our mistakes to not take action while we can. I finally took the first step and, well, created this blog. It's for people like me, people who know what is upon us, and for those who are new to this whole 'grand scheme' of sorts.  It's me urging you to start somewhere and take the first step. Stop using plastic bags (Every year, 15 billion pounds of plastic are produced in the U.S., but only 1 billion are recycled, according to Greenpeace) and buy reusable ones. Use those great lightbulbs that save a TON of energy. Buy organic produce. Buy clothing products that are made from natural fibers, like wool and cotton. Never microwave plastic, and go easy on canned and microwavable foods. And honestly, the biggest impact in today's world that you could possibly make is writing to your represantative and demanding they start taking action in Congress on the subject of global warming.

So, get out there and do your part kids!
