My first blog entry with Greenpeace, love the concept, THANKS!

The most critical people to enroll to help the environment are our children, and we are failing to do that well.  Indeed we are letting them be sucked inside by interests that have nothing to do with nature: watching TV, video games, or chatting with friends.

This is a huge loss, and hurts our efforts to preserve nature during the critical next century.  Most parents are too busy to really engage their kids in outdoor pursuits.  And the ones I see tend to be resource intensive with power boats, jetskis, motorcycles, RVs. 

Here is a group that is helping to connect educators and kids with the deeper values of nature, hopefully we can help support their efforts.

Let us work toward getting children in touch with the wonders of nature, and make it so that there is something left for them to pass on to their kids.
