Saving our Forests begins at home with an everyday commitment to conservation of paper products. Try the following: * Use cloth bags when shopping. I take 5 cloth bags to the grocery store for the weekly shopping. During the course of the year I save a minimum of 250 plastic bags (probably more because baggers are very lavish with their use of plastic). In the course of 4 years I save 1,000 plastic bags. Imagine what you could save. * When shopping in other stores I say "No thank you" to the plastic bags if at all possible. What I can carry to the car saves the Earth in platic. * Save wrapping and tissue paper to re-use. * Recyle * Wrap gifts with newspaper and tie with a recycled ribbon or string.
