 Gordon Russell  build a new mower powered by the sun. he took from an old gas mower, and he installed an electric motor, two 12-volt batteries, and two solar panels. The mower can fully charge in about three hours of sun, and it can run for an hour on the two amps the panels provides and the lawnmower looks really cool. it quieter than gas mowers and if you times the amount of people using lawnmower per day by the amount of co2 released by these gas guzzlers, it is staggering. Gordon Russell needs to bring this solar powered mower to the marketand the green community need to seek him out and provide the funding to replace fossil fuel lawnmower from our yards, or else get off there butts, like i do, and use push mowers and get some exersize. if your yard is small this isn't a problem ,if it's huge, well solar powered lawnmower need to make there entrance. come on gordon russel, it's your idea, i wish i thought of it, bring it to market.  if you want to see gordon russells solar powered lawn mower check out popular sciences website august 2009
