Stupidity...
While watching commercials tonight, I happened upon one for a new phone. People used to be able to go without having a phone. Then, people could live with calling. Texting came next, a camera, the internet, apps...what next? Things were so simple, and now everyone has a small computer in their pocket, breeding lies and simplicity and stupidity. The commercial I saw today advertised an application on your phone that will let you keep track of your car in case you cannot find it. If you lose your car, press a button and it shall locate it for you. I am not sure about you, but I think this is a stupid idea. I mean, when someone cannot find their car, why should they even be driving it? They could be drunk. So, these drunk people are going to be pressing their phones, locating their cars and then causing harm to innocent people. Why should this applicating even be invented? Why don't we just track people, as well, because you know what, they could be across the street from you, but you wouldn't be able to look up from your texting or game or whatever it is you do, and you would miss them! Put a tracker on your friend, and your small little computer-phone shall guide you to their house because you probably don't even know where that is! Stupidity is rising, people! We can't even have sit-down dinners anymore because half the family is watching tv, while the other half is texting. We lose relationships because our significant other loves their technology more than you. In a way, we are living in one huge video game. We all have one life, and we don't want to screw it up, but we just keep buying into the idea of having more and more stuff, which means that we need to have the technology that is amazing and high-tech, eating away our brains and creativity and ideas! We have lost all connection with people. We do not even know how to communicate with each other anymore. Instead of greeting people, we text or email them. I know what I am writing may seem contradictory, since I am writing a blog on the internet, but I could write the same thing and publish it in a newspaper. No fancy gadgets needed there. People just don't understand each other anymore. I wish things were simple, and by simple, I don't mean that a computer can do it. I wish that people used their brains for once instead of relying on technology. We can't even get around our own town without the use of a GPS. We need to have a car or we are considered uncool. We need to have a cellphone with internet and whatever to make ourselves look hotter. We need to have a wonderfully thin image. If you ask me, things are becoming stupid, and people along with it!
Ice Wraps Around Our Souls...
It seems that nowadays, winter is such a bummer. Remember when winter was fun? When we could go out, have a snowball fight and build a snowman? The snow was slushy, perfect for packing and snow angels. Only now, things have changed.
Look outside! It is ice and heartache and agony. Everything is powder. All the snow, perfect flour white, threatens to chill us to the bone. Does it matter how beautiful it may be, or should we focus on how our environment is slowly killing us?
I believe that global warming is wreaking havoc on us! We should be taking action! No more cutting trees! No more creating giant holes in the ozone layer! What is happening? Why does the world hate us so?
Mother Nature is slowly falling apart, and we are crumbling along with it! We will wake up one morning, our houses littered with beautiful snowflakes, but we shall not notice them for we will be freezing! We will have brought it upon ourselves.
Earth! Hear us! We need to live! Please, do not let us freeze this winter because that is what seems to be happening. Sledding shall make us shiver. Building a snowman or a fort shall make our skin turn blue.
I do not know what should be done. All I know is that I want Earth to stick around for more years. It seems that this winter has become a sort of ice age.
Beauty! Snow! Freeze!
Sadness...
Crumbling, just crumbling...
Why must the world be like this? That to live, we must cut down trees? Why must we survive solely on one huge forest, only to one day, our hearts shed tears of joy because we created a new town with that forest. "We plant new ones," everybody seems to say, but yet do they know how long it takes for a tree to grow? When somebody cuts a tree down, they are cutting something that is living. It is a never ending battle that has been going on for years and years. Madness, lust, power, greed. All tie in. Even anger. People hurt things when they are angry and sad. That must be why the trees are an ever growing small population. The population that we have grown to love is now crumbling at our bulldozers.Laziness will lead to our destruction
Laziness...a road to destruction?
As I was walking through the supermarket today, I noticed many things. That the fruits in that store were dying and that even though we say getting fruits at the grocery market is quicker, being green people, we should go to a local farmers market or maybe just even grow them ourselves. Fruits and vegetables alike. The next thing I noticed is that nobody is this world even makes their own meals. The provider makes them for us. Hot dogs, were once so good, but now they come in a box, so that we just microwave them for that Ball Game taste. Sandwiches, that we once enjoyed on a picnic to the seaside or maybe even just for fun, we can't even make them ourselves anymore. No. No longer do we buy meat, veggies, or mustard to put on the sandwiches, no. We just buy them in a box and microwave them, so we can taste the memories that have slipped through our grip and our spiraling in the past. We are lazy. Americans are lazy. Some may say that we are hard working, but we aren't. We always are walking with a stick up our butt and sometimes with our microwavable sandwich. What have we become when we can't even sit down with our family and eat a nice home cooked meal??? I know some families can't sit down with each other, but that does not mean either that we can text our brother who is sitting next to us to pass the microwavable potatoes. Not talking to each other, just texting one another. What have we become? We are just a shell of mankind. Mankind is not destined to be lead through a never ending war and then sit down with our cell phones and text each other for another sandwich. I hope the microwaves blow up. Maybe then we can eat some meals together.
Anger...around us
Anger...around us...sheltering
We are all propelled forward by our ability to love, but also to hate. We are all controlled by our heart, which is secretly disguised as an angel, but also a demon. We are always feeling more emotions, but nowadays, people always seem to feel hate. I am not trying to push beliefs on anyone, just trying to inform you. Anger start wars. Anger start arguments. Anger probably started this world. We think we know everything, but seriously, we do not. We believe that we know everything that is happening in the world, but we don't. Do we know what is happening in Africa? Yes, we know they have AIDS and that they are suffering. We know that Oprah went their and adopted children. We know that everyone is raising money to send over there. But...do you know what they are feeling? No. You have no idea unless you live there and are an African American with AIDS. It would be horrible to watch your family die. Anger is also causing more people to build houses or building and in return, knock down and kill more trees. Anger, or lust for money is doing this. Anger is in divorce, anger is in racism, anger is even in the presidential election right now, for crying out loud. No where is there no anger. Anger is all around us. Enveloping us in its fury, bidding us to do its dirty work. But we need to stretch and bond together and love. For if we love, we can maybe, and hopefully, save the world.

Dear my fellow treehuggers, I am just a person, but within me, is a heart that is a tree. Whoever looks, may not like the way I am, but the roots are long, and someway, you might learn to love me. I wish to protect all that needs protecting. I will hug trees and I do not like builders. They are building in my community and they are destroying the trees that I love. But nobody seems to care. It is ugly. They are horrible. Americans just don't seem to care about nature. All they seem to care about it how attractive they look or how much money they have or what job they will take next. It is sickening. And I hate it. I hate it very much.
