Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone could help me with the book I'm writing. My book is about the environment with a section at the end about how the common man can help the environment, and I need some suggestions that go beyond recycling for people who want to do more. I also need some interesting environment facts; e.g. If current fishing methods don't change, there will be no seafood left by the year 2048. I appreciate all answers and hope to hear from anyone who has some good suggestions. Thanks!

     I just finished reading 'Steve and Me' by Terri Irwin. It was a beautiful book, but there were some parts that were absolutely maddening.

     One part depicted the horror that takes place on alligator farms. Baby alligators are kept in tiny boxes in the dark and beat with sticks if they react to the light when they are fed. They are kept in tiny enclosures and stuffies (stuffed baby alligators) often have their eyes gouged out with screwdrivers.

     My goal is to help the rainforest, but I was absolutely disgusted horrified and infuriated at how people continue to be oblivious to animal cruelty.

      Please tell me about any new information you find or what you think about these awful acts.

     We need to act now to save our rainforests! I've written a book about this subject that I plan to publish, because this is a HUGE problem that HAS to be addressed NOW!

      No one (especially big businesses) seems to get this? Everyone pretends they care, but no one actually tries to help? I mean, really! At least talk about the issues instead of hiding the truth!
