Greenpeace

I just read the article on plastics in our oceans and how they are killing the wildlife there. Birds are swallowing plastic fish, plastic bugs, plastic everything, thinking it is food and are dying of starvation because the plastic can not be passed. I want to start a disscussion at my son's school. Maybe 5-10 minutes in each classroom, showing which animals are affected and perhaps have the actual contents of an animals stomach to show the tangible proof. Teach the kids about responsible purchasing and proper waste management or recycling of the emense amounts of plastic toys and wrappers in our world. I have called greenpeace for their support and am curious if any one can offer suggestions and insights as to what or how I may implement this in my son's school and then hopefully carry it forward to other schools. I tried to write this in the discussions section, but didn't find a new topic posting.
