Oil Spill

I first heard of the oil "spill", but thought another ship had a leak or something. That would be bad enough. Then I found out it was oil rig with the leak way down. I read some more as time went on, assuming the leak was turned off.  I was in shock when I found out that the leak was still pumping oil into the ocean. I heard that the government and BP were discussing the problem; then I knew the ocean was fucked. The distruction of wild life made me sad and angry.

I saw a picture of the oil covered sea birds and couldn't look anymore. A lot of people were helping, trying to clean the birds off, but many died a horrible death alone. Animals just live. They take what they need and don't destroy for the fun of it, or to make money, (they don't have pockets).

Maybe human being clothes should be made without pockets. It used to be long time ago that animals could, run, crawl or fly away from humans. Animals instinctively know that human beings are dangerous. Now they can't get away. We will fuck them up anyware they go. We, (humans), know we're dangerous, but go on trusting each other. We trust that someone building something will at least make it safe. We trust that they will not cut corners to save money or to make it faster to make money in the future.

BP used equipment that wasn't even approved yet and we said to go ahead we'll give you a temporary permit and see what happens. A fire was what happened.

I know that trillions of dollars are moved around to keep the rich rich. I know that over a billion dollars was spent to construct a stadium for the Dallas Cowboys. I know that Lebron James has so much money from playing basketball, he was set for life for him and his family, years ago. He lives in a palace. He is a good man and he takes all that he can for his talent because we say it's OK.

I guess I could say we can turn the government out by voting. I guess we could say that, if we are stockholders, we can influence the companies we support.

We can't it's too late. Government and the rich have set up a world for themselves. Average peolple in the middleclass feel that there are screwed up things in life, but are basiclly comfortable so we don't do anything that would displace us from our fantasy land. The government is a bloated, inefficient, wallowing creation, but as long as the middle class can buy a new car once in a while, or get the latest electronic miracle like the iPad, (I got one and it's cool), We will go on writing blogs and get really mad, but we will just truck along and do nothing of consequence.

You see, the planet is in a desperate place, for disparate  reasons. A lot of us, maybe 5% of the world population, can see the end that is coming. God's crying and he's got his finger on the trigger.
