Environmentalism is more than Global Warming

I have been an frustrated environmentalist. It seems that the environmental movement has poorly choosen leaders of the movement. I see Al Gore and Ted Kennedy as hypocritical political oppertunists. Al Gore preaches concern about global warming but uses vast amounts of electricity every day at home; and Ted Kennedy calls for congress to push for more funding to alternative energy but helped foil attempts to build a wind farming of the Northeast coast. It is time to stop following political oppertunists and look for environmental leaders who practice what they preach.

russ1383 on August 03, 2007 Al Gore's movie has probably made its mark, it a pretty effective medium of getting the dangers of climate change out to less enthusiastic public, but he did not push for singing the Kyoto agreement when he had real power.
