Climate "SOS" issued

| More

We made sure that we would be seen and heard this weekend in Marquette.  The front page of the Daily Mining Journal, NPR, TV 6 and 10 news all covered our event.

Around the world thousands gathered for the November 4 International Day of Action to call on the US to ratify the Kyoto protocol.

The "SOS" has been issued and people are jumping to respond.  Concerned citizens are putting pens to paper and dialing up their representative. Letters to the editor, calls to the local office and personal visits are the best way to show your concern.

We need to use this current momentum to commit Congressman Bart Stupak to make global warming solutions a priority.

Yesterday citizens of Marquette delivered over a thousand public comments to Congressman Stupaks office and TV 10 was there.  Unfortunatedly the staff in the office was too upset to deal with the cameras so refused comment.

Next week I head to Washington DC to meet with Congressman Stupak and his staff.  We need to make sure that they get the picture, people want action now!

Make sure to VOTE today! Then call and hold our representatives accountable!!!
