Having read that soy cultivation is a major cause of Amazon deforestation, I'm unsure how to act. I enjoy soy and, as a vegetarian, it makes up at least a notable part of my diet. However, I'd hate to be funding an evil business that is destroying our world's biodiversity by tearing down some of our last tracks of rainforest. Can I easily find out which businesses use illegal soy while which do not? Should I stop eating soy altogether? Please, some suggestions about how I can respond to this development.
