kates on November 20, 2006 I applaud the participants of the 'Windscape' design project, it is important to study and explore the numerous ways that we can expand our clean, local energy source: wind power. Wind is safe, indigenous and if matched with energy conservation and efficiency can provide 34% of the worlds electricity by 2050. Given the imminent threat of global warming we need to act now to build more wind power. The Cape Wind project off the cost of MA is a perfect example of a large-scale project that will provide 75% of the Cape electricity needs without emitting global warming pollution or producing dangerous waste. The turbines will only be visible 1/2 inch on the horizon from the closer point on land and will be a symbol of a clean energy future for America.
