I am Pinaki Mukherjee, residing in Kolkata, India. Basically I am a science graduate with specialization in physics. I also hold a post graduate diploma in management (Specialization in Marketing & HRD). I am UN Volunteer (Online), First Generation Campaigner of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) of UN (Online), WWF "World Wildlife Take Action Group Member"(Online), WWF "Panda passport holder", and Online Volunteer of "The global neighbour network". And many more open sources for capacity building of NGOs around the Country for eradicate extreme poverty and hunger "No Excuse 2015".
My world of association is with a NGO, Lotus Park Prayas, here in after called LPPrayas. The objective behind my association is underlined in uplifting and pulling into the mainstream that section of my country that deserves to be alleviated above the poverty line. Under the current world scenario, I feel it is the duty of every educated individual to help in percolating the benefits of a modern environment to all sections of the society, especially to those who are lagging behind in the race. The mottoes of my organization i.e. LPPrayas to which I belong always adhere to the above sentiments. In fact, LPPrayas is following United Nation's Millennium Development Goals (1 to 8) virtually to make poverty a historical word through Sustainable Micro Enterprise Cluster Development Programme (SMECDP). We have a definite project plan for SMECDP in West Bengal as well as all over the country for sustainable livelihood. If you are interested we can submit our plan for you kind information and positive response.
Further LPPrayas is already engaged for build up a Network of same mindness NGO in West Bengal. By this Network we can do proper implementation of the project of Global Fund in this area in a cost effect way. Proper Project Planning and a good Network Infrastructure - these are two steps that the Global Fund can take to be more in line with country priorities and systems, therefore reducing transaction costs and ensuring the lasting impact of its funded programs.
Further more I am engaged in different project works in many a parts of my state which my NGO has taken-up time to time. Through our organization I am personally accustomed to work amongst the tribal people (High-risk zone for Malaria, Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS) and the backward sections of the society. Apart from being economically backward and living below the poverty line, these people are bogged down into illiteracy mingled with superstitions. This makes our job all the more difficult to accomplish. To build up a sustainable future for these sections of the society, the first and foremost requirement is to make them self-supporting while, at the same time, spreading education among these people. But the main hurdle to achieve this goal is the altogether absence of any infrastructure for this purpose.
It is, evidently, not possible for some individual efforts to build up the necessary infrastructure for the same. In this context, I very much feel that it is only possible through the Partnership support from any end toward our organization and our Network. This will, I am sure, be able to provide the required infrastructure that will help those downtrodden to become self-supporting, self-reliant and literate. This will eventually ensure environmental sustainability for them, which is true to the spirit of “Make Poverty History” slogan of the UN.
Sincerely looking for an early positive response from your end.
Again we have a specific programme of Sustainable Micro Enterprise Cluster Development Programmes (SMECDP) for the forest dwellers of West Bengal. By this project we can change their lifestyle and give them proper livelihood. Further more by this project they will be self-sufficient and the dependence on forest will be cutoff. So by this project we can improved the livelihoods of these people as well as we can save flora and fauna of this region (North part of West Bengal, India).
