rainstorm last week was my first time being a volunteer after joining greenpeace and we did nonstop work for 5 days. it was really moving! the first day the ten of us highschoolers sorted 3 tons of potatoes. and yes, i was the one to fill the bags too high so we wouldnt use too many. i truly am predictable =] the next day my job wasnt so green... mowing the ditch that a christian radio station had let grow to like 4 feet :/ the next day was fun sice it was a nature conserve. we pick goat's beard because theyre weeds... even though i think they are gorgeous. we caught butterflies and made cookies. the local volunteer was really fun to talk to about well naturallist stuff which was fun since i dont really have anyone who isnt at camp to talk to about recycling. ooops i g2g more on the homless shelter l8r

rainstorm so for the past 5 days ive been on a christian road trip with my youth group. it was moving and i feel closer to god after sorting potatoes at a food bank, doing yardwork for a non profit radio station, helping a wildlife conserve and volunteering at a homeless shelter. the homless shelter gets you thinking a lot. so i wasnt as green as i could be, but we helped a lot of people and the camping was fun too. dont worry, i nagged about turning off lights or the A/c when possible =] more about it later

rainstorm i had only seen green peace on posters and wondered when i got assigned it for a skool project. then in a different class we watched An Inconveniant Truth which as you know, is COMPLEZTELY moving even though i already was aware of ice caps and whales and rainforests. i realized what am i doing not being a member!!! so before i could hug another tree, i was a member and now i totally want to go chain myself to the rainforests like green peace members before me!! lol but no really, it sounds like fun =]

rainstorm im totally pressuring my peers to join greenpeace! You should see how excited it get. i always recycle the random plastics i find on the side of our road when we walk. We had a recycle party- its kinda like a lia sophia party in a way except if u find something cool in the ditch its probably covered in mudd. i love how this post is pointless and everyone elses posts r way kick ass. practice makes perfect!
