Just curious. Have you done any research into data regarding GW, or just eaten what ICAC inc. fed you. The planet DOES have huge issues. Collapsing fisheries, rainforest destruction, dsertification. Being "against global warming" is being against springtime. The planet is returning to its pre-ice age condition which saw vast inland seas ( we are the dopes who built on flood plains...)temperate climes at the poles ( the ice / snow hasn't been there forever- it is a remnant of the UN- natural cold period caused by atmospheric particulates ie ash, dust from meteor strike blocking the sun. You literally are protesting nature itself. The evidence is there is mountainous quantity. CO2 was at its all time highest during the ice age as there was a marked decrease in photosynthesis due to arctic conditions. CO2 doesnt CAUSE warming! But God forbid you think for yourself. That is what they don't want. As long as you are busy fighting nature, you won't notice what's going on elsewhere ie; your being robbed of your liberty and constitutional rights. But hey, if the wool fits , wear it. PS. Your liberty is not on the line because you had a slumber party in jail. Your liberty is on the line because you give it away. Read some Thomas Jefferson. Stop being led. Use your head. Think for yourself. Its refreshinng. Then help the rainforest. THATS the killer of Earth. ( Also consider why you are judging me negatively at this very moment...thats what they want you to do-silence dissenters.) Feel free to contact me if you disagree based on your OWN research. The ICAC is not science based and has a vested interest in the "fight" against GW.$$$
PS. I have spent MANY nights in jail for stepping in for women who were being abused by men and evening out the odds - actually, stacking them in the womens favor. That is a cause I will gladly give up some hours of freedom for anytime.
Heres to your liberation!
I am sure everyone is proud of greenpeace for what we did today. Unfortunately, Bush will never accept Kyoto...we might have to wait till he gets out of office in 2009. Hopefully we have a sensible president then!
Wonderful Friday w/u along the
Lake shore that is looking clearer than it did twenty years ago!
The lake level is lower on Superior and all the remaining 4 are as well. The
winter evaporation, among many other things being the culpret.
Well do you know that I am so proud of you and your team that you are traveling with. Each individual has made a move forward for this evolution towards a clean resource and viable way of energy use. I am
always going to have an open door at home if you are passing thru, A M L because thats the way it is hope the mom time helped. Soon you'll all be settled for the fall and winter.
Great meeting the local folks that came out to host and help bring your information to the communities you visited in the surrounding Chicago area. Uncle Rich and Andy were there for whatever you needed. Have a safe journey as you all continue on.
Love mom
We are not being told the truth about where we stand on climate change. Currently, everyone is selling hard the idea that if we can reduce our "carbon footprint" sufficiently, in a timely manner, we will avoid the worst impact of climate change. Sadly, although I wish that were true, it is not.
There is currently no scientific inquiry into "how much greenhouse gas is too much." I regret to inform you that modern humanity crossed the Rubicon of climate change in 1957 and the greenhouse gasses we have generated since then have efrfectively sealed the door to the tomb. Noone gets out.
Currently greenhouse gas density of CO2 only is in the range of 400 to 420ppm (parts per million). It only required roughly 310ppm to destabilize the atmospheric ecosystem. The reason this level of density is catastrophic is that the gasses we send aloft will reside there for thousands of years. If you reduce your carbon footprint today the results won't be experienced for this time period.
There is currently no data, other than faulty computer projections, that even attempts to address the question of "how much was too much."
