Its all about MONEY honey !

Concerns about environmental and social issues, fighting for the cause in forms of protest, demonstrations and other related activities does have an impact for causing the change but still I personally feel that most issues are not the real problems they are the symptoms of an underlying problem.Working towards a wrongly identified issue may lead to wastefull human and economic energies which definately might not be fruitfull in the long run.

Let me take an example to massive deforestation being caused simply because it is economically a lucrative resource wood.Millions of livelyhood does depend upon these lumbar related activites.Trying to stop these activities by working against the lumbar industries is bound to have very little effect on the cause. The work towards this has to be done in such a fashion that it doesnt hit the people ,the industries but in some way counterbalances the harm being done by these to environment. The work has to be done by us for mobilizing the governments to implement certain policies which are a countermeasure to handle the effects of deforestation.Taxes on the such industries, surcharges on people using these forest products have to be made in accordance to the price of the natural wealth depleted and the cost involved in restoring these back. The products should specify the amount of taxes being levied so that they can relate these to the effect the consumers have caused to the environment. The industries and the government have to be made to replenish the lost resource by mass afforestations and then taking care that the plants reach the stage of full maturity. Many a times I have seen that the governments start importing the needed resource although the country has the stock in order to save their own resource. They import goods from developing countries which have to export these as they have a scarcity of funds.

But the govt. dosent really avoids seeing the real picture...defforestation leading to global  warming.....Every 1 drowns if the ice melts stupid..........

The message to learn :

Dont fight a money generating activity. Its bound to have a lot against.Fight the policy makers so that the counter measure for the acitvity is done.

All in all "You cut 1 tree. You plant atleast 10 and take care till they grow till the size of the tree being cut."

BackFiring Solutions

Lack of initiative among the leaders and people is not only the problem being faced by the world in terms of environmental issues. One of the major point which soon is to becoming a problem is lack of fore sightedness and knowledge about the implementation of the alternative solutions being given for environmental issues.I will state this with an example :

The hyped Biofuels have infact added to the global warming and have alarmingly caused mass deforestation in places where the biofuels are being produced.Brazil has been the latest example to it where the biofuel production was supported by leaders , activists and organisations. This can be explained and understood very easily :-

Support for Biofuels created a demand for biofuels. This caused a demand for such biofuel producing  crops eg. corn, sugarcane. This resulted in the price rise for such crops attracting people to aquire more land (understandibly cheaper forest land) and cause large scale deforestation once more adding to the already grim situations of global worming and deforestation.

Another Example can be taken as of using mercury based lights which are supposed to save energy. This was again hyped and promoted by the leaders and activists.People have effectively taken part in buying these and are satisfied that they have played their part in supporting environment.Buy again lack of information ,knowledge and fore sighted ness hass again taken a toll. After the mercury based lights are used up the problem of discarding these comes into play.These bulbs/lights contain harmful gasses which again pollute the environment and again effect it negatively.

This has to be understood and understood well that only making a change for the environment is not going to be enough. Before making a decision and going ahead with a change ,analysts and experts from all domains have to come into consensus and then only such stratergies be promoted.
