Earth Day

| More

As Earth Day approaches we should all plan to dedicate this whole day to helping our environment and a start to a whole new green era. To some its just another April 22'nd but this day to me and many others is crucially important since as Earth Day is a well known holiday and maybe the only day out of the whole year some people will actually suddenly realize the increasing amounts of dangers our planet is facing right now and how it may affect us. Spread everywhere- to all people to start a green life on this Earth Day. Start it by doing at least one of the many things you can do:

Plant a tree

grow an earth friendly garden

promote recycling and pay atttention more to what you can recycle

use the stove more than microwwave (microwaves use more energy)

use flourescant light bulbs

clean a local polluted area

learn about the problems that face the environment and educate your community

and much more

Meat

For all you hamburger and fried chicken loving people out there do you think I don't eat meat just because I think its cruel? NO. Did you know for every pound of cow meat there is it took first FOURTEEN POUNDS of grain to make it? I don't know people but does that sound enerfy efficient think to you? I think not. Now about HOW MUCH meat the united states and then THE WORLD is eating. All that for something that was killed just because it was tasty.

im SO HAPPY recycling ah the joy

I have recently wrote m superintendent a letter concerning our school's recycling programs. Currently, we only recycle in classrooms paper. I demanded to resycle paper, plastic, and aluminum in the classrooms and in the lunchroom. I was so angered all the time by the thought of all that waste..... going to waste. WELL NOW WERE CHANGING OUR RECYCLING PROGRAM to a new and improved one. I'm happy my idea got accepted, I even got a meeting with our schools green council and principal :D. All is well please do the same i recommend about any ideas you have for your community or school concerning environmental friendly programs! It makes a huge difference trust me and you will be heard if you make them listen. Peace to you all and go green
