Boycott plastic Wall-E toys
Just saw the movie Wall-E this weekend. It's a movie about the earth having too much trash,
two robots are the heroes of the movie. My problem isn't with the movie-it's with all the Wall-E
toys that accompany the movie. It is very hypocritical of Disney/Pixar to make a "green" movie
and use that movie to market plastic toys to kids. It is hypocritical, exploitive and lacks any
integrity and I would suggest that we all boycott these toys, write letters to Pixar and Disney and
tell friends not to buy any of their toys. The movie made over $60 million this weekend-they
could definately afford to be bold and really make a difference by beginning or ending the
movie by stating that they will not market toys that accompany the movie. That would have
made a huge impression on adults and kids.
