Time to Turn Up the Heat It is said that there are two sources of power: people and money. While we'll never have as much money as the oil industry, more than 80% of the American public want stronger laws to reduce global warming pollution. If global warming has become such a hot topic, why is Congress still ignoring it? The public is on our side, but our elected officials need to hear from them. That's where you come in. We need your help to change the climate in Congress. This election season, our Project Hot Seat team has been working tirelessly to turn up the heat on Congressional candidates in 6 key districts. We're in the final stretch and we need YOUR help to reach thousands of voters. We've never done anything like this before. We plan to make 10,000 phone calls to voters in these districts before the month is out, with the help of volunteers like you. As long as you can be online and on the phone (cell phones are fine) at the same time, you can use our innovative new system to make calls from your own home. You can start right away—our tool will tell you whom to call and what to say—or you can begin with our training pages. It's easy. Imagine this: when Congressional candidates go door-to-door, they come across countless yard and window signs that say Stop Global Warming. And when they read the local paper, they learn that thousands of potential constituents rallied for clean and safe energy. We'll be making calls to ask folks to do just that. Help us send a loud and clear message this election season. You can convince voters in key districts to put their candidates on the hot seat. The timing is critical - if Congress doesn't do something soon, it may be too late.
