The EPA has concluded that there is overwhelming evidence that greenhouse gases from fossil fuels endanger our health and welfare. This means that President Obama could soon have the power to regulate dangerous greenhouse gases himself should Congress fail to do what’s necessary. It’s up to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and YOU to decide.

Until June 23rd, they’ll be accepting public comments to help them decide what to do. We want to get as many comments supporting the position of regulating these gases as possible before the deadline.
Make sure the EPA knows how you feel by submitting a comment today: http://tinyurl.com/qb99to.
It’s not too late to get your application in for the Fall 2009 semester!
Have you been thinking about applying for the best hands on training for student activists? Well don’t wait any longer! We only have a few spots left for both our Fall 09 classes!
The G.O.T. is a semester of training and action! As a student in the program you’ll learn the necessary skills you need to tackle global warming in your community and beat back corporations like Kimberly-Clark on your campus.
While in the program, you’ll be trained in grassroots organizing, media, direct action, and campaign strategy. Best of all, you’ll put those new skills into practice by working on actual Greenpeace campaigns – in the U.S. and on the Greenpeace Expedition!
What inspires you to be an activist? Why is it important to you to stop global warming?
All across the country, people just like you are coming together and building a movement to tackle climate change. We know that each and every person who is part of the movement has a unique story to tell about what brought them here and why they care. And it's these stories that ultimately give the movement its strength.
Tell us your story.
We can help build the movement to stop global warming by taking a moment to share our stories with each other and with Congress!
Share your story today. You never know who it might inspire.
